Brett Leavy is an immersive heritage specialist, virtual historian and immersive media artist. His innovative idea to recreate cultural heritage environments to map First Nations culture and heritage values.
His passion is to combine his communicative, creative, organisational, technical and editorial skills into the creation of a virtual heritage based time machine.
He likes to write historical narratives and weave these into engaging and exciting virtual reality based cultural experiences. Brett’s has proven artistic skills and a record of achievement in web design, business communications and now specialises in immersive and interactive technologies related to cultural heritage management.
His multi-faceted skills cover the areas of management, media and communications and cultural heritage management including functional design, project management, education and user experiential design.
Brett’s energy and enthusiastic support for cultural heritage management and education has led to him being published in print and web that spans the mediums of radio, newspaper and television. His work is multi-award winning in the areas of virtual design and creative innovation.
Brett is currently Creative Director of Bilbie Pty Ltd, the company responsible for the program Virtual Songlines.
