Starting his game development career in 2001, Tony worked for over a decade at Krome Studios in Brisbane, where he was variously an Environment Artist and Level Designer on all four games in the TY the Tasmanian Tiger series. He was also Lead Artist for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Wii, PS2, and PSP.
In his post-Krome years, he has dabbled in commercial and industrial visualisation, and a variety of contracted work. Most recently, Tony has turned his sights on education as a Lecturer at SAE Brisbane, where he primarily oversees the Game Design components of Game Studio 1 (a simulated workplace within the Game Development degree). In this role he wears many hats, functioning as a facilitator, mentor, lecturer, tutor, producer, executive producer, Socratic questioner, and notorious punster. He also co-hosts The 1st 10 Minutes, a game analysis podcast, and Downloadable Context, a developer interview podcast.
Tony has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland, where he majored in Zoology and Behavioural Ecology. He grew up doing field research on sea turtles with his family (also zoologists), and he hopes to one day hike across Iceland.
