GCAP 2026 Volunteer Applications Open!

GCAP 2026 is set to have the conversation about the years to come and how best to nurture the green shoots sprouting up across the industry including new studios, new games, new creatives and new production methods. GCAP will unite games practitioners towards our shared future.

GCAP runs smoothly with the dedication of our amazing team of volunteers.

This initiative is perfectly suited for recent graduates and new game developers keen to attend GCAP 2026, while also interacting with a team of highly dedicated and friendly volunteers.

Successful applicants will receive a full complimentary ticket to GCAP, including entry to The AGDAs. Volunteers will also receive a gift card at the conclusion of GCAP. 

We would like to welcome and encourage applicants from all backgrounds, particularly from people who are currently under-represented and/or those with identities marginalised in the games industry, to apply to volunteer at GCAP.

We’re looking for well thought-out applications with references to specific experience and a description of how you intend to make the most of attending GCAP.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Volunteers need to be available for the entire 3-day period between 5th and 7th of October and for The AGDAs on the afternoon of Wed 7th October.

• Attend 1 training session online in the lead up to GCAP.
• You must be over the age of 18 to apply.
• GCAP volunteers are required to pay their own travel and/or accommodation expenses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assistance with attendee registration on printing kiosks.
• Monitoring conference session including assisting MCEC staff with tech checks.
• Counting attendance per session and ensuring talks run to time.
• Minimal set-up and pack down assistance.
• Working closely with the GCAP organisers to provide assistance to all attendees.
• Helping to ensure a safe, inclusive and amazing conference environment.
